We believe that one of the ways we can have the most impact in our community is through education. However, going to school can be daunting if you don't have the money for admission or the supplies to succeed. Every year we donate loaded backpacks to children in our community and beyond.

This summer, we had the opportunity to visit Casas Grandes, a small town about 2 hours from Juarez. We partnered with a local church there and spent time connecting with and loving the local families. Our main goal was to distribute backpacks to these kids so they could feel ready for the new school year!

We are now gearing up for our second year distributing Amor bags, which include food and household items. In 2020, we delivered Amor bags to over 300 families! As with all new projects we did have some kinks along the way. In the end, we learned how to adjust for the future and had a successful distribution!

We don't want to simply drop these bags off and essentially say, "Have a nice life. Good luck! Oh, and Jesus loves you!" and never see these families again. That's why we are working constantly to connect with churches near these families who can be available to come alongside them through the good and the bad. We want to empower local churches to be the hands and feet of Jesus. These bags are so much more than food and household items. They can be a lifeline for families who need physical and spiritual nourishment.

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
